Morning Sound #19 – Seven

Nineteen is seven. Seven is nineteen. Seven is not too many pianos. Nineteen might be.
This is the result of a little experiment: I improvised seven melodies, one after the other, with some simple rules.
Rule 1: I play on the metronome, on every beat (tempo 150).
Rule 2: I play my melody in unison over one octave.
Rule 3: Every time I play a new melody, it has to end at the same time as the previous one.
Rule 4: Play with feeling (always).
Then I put everything together, hoping to get some kind of constant mass in which you still can distinctly hear melodies, patterns and movement. This is a theme I like to explore. It’s like the silent noise of outer space.
